This is our state’s premier lead competition with categories for youth and open (other categories will be confirmed once we have a setting team). This will be the selection event for the 2027 Youth National Lead Championships for relevant age categories as well as the 2027 Open National Lead Championships.

2026 WA Lead State Titles

We are pleased to announce that we will have a Lead State Titles this year. Not only will this be a great chance to test your rope skills, but it is also our selection event for the State Lead team for U15, U17, U19 and Open A. Time to get your harness out and get clipping!

Early bird registration is open now until 30 September. After which, standard registration fees apply. Registrations close 3 November.

2026 Boulder National Cup & WA Open Titles

The first National Boulder Cup started with a fun boulder jam on Friday 25 September for Open B, Open C and Masters. Then a World Cup-style competition for Open A with qualification, semi-final and final rounds over Saturday and Sunday. We are grateful to Sport Climbing Australia for having our WA Open Boulder Titles as part of this event, Portside Boulder for hosting and Paddy Palin for their continued support and sponsorship.

WHAT SPORT CLIMBING IN WA FEELS LIKE

In the spirit of reconciliation, Sport Climbing Western Australia would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, the Whadjuk people of Noongar Boodjar. We recognise their continued connection to the land and waters of this beautiful place, and acknowledge that they never ceded sovereignty.
